Could we forgive a spouse who cheated? Should a married person still talk to an ex? And does a marriage have to include fights to be healthy?
In our first Ask Us Anything, we answer the questions you sent us about Christian dating, marriage, family, and faith. We’re Richard and Hailey: married for 13 years, raising four children, and sharing what we’ve learned while building our life together.
We talk about dating toward marriage, watching how someone leads themselves, shared values, and what happens when a disagreement becomes defensive. We also discuss contact with an ex when children are involved, why the content of a text matters, and the difference between protecting a marriage early and trying to repair it later.
Our answer about cheating is hypothetical—we have not been through it. We discuss repentance, honesty, ending contact, and why rebuilding trust would require more than a promise. Hailey also shares how losing her dad shaped her faith and what grace looked like in her grief.
Then we get into parenting choices, unpopular marriage opinions, the example we hope our children see, and a rapid-fire round that includes attraction, multitasking, and Richard’s Christmas decorations.
