A former MVM site supervisor says he was hired to help rescue trafficked children, but soon heard children crying that their assigned sponsors weren’t family. In this episode, “Joey” describes raising alarms, being told to keep quiet, and overseeing transports from a San Diego stadium where he says children were held indoors for months. He also recounts agents reporting that children tried to flee during transfers and describes the personal toll of believing he helped send them back into danger. Lara presses him on his allegations, the role of contractors and officials, and his claims of retaliation after speaking out.
