A pottery class with my daughter Lucy turned into a lesson I wasn't expecting. Halfway through painting her piece, she looked at it and said it was terrible. I told her to hold that thought.
"Judge it at the end, not the middle, or the end won't arrive."
Most of us quit on things for the same reason Lucy almost quit painting, we judge them before they're done.
