Can you build serious muscle with lighter weights and slow, controlled reps? Should you train to failure on every working set? And how do you balance intensity, volume, frequency, and recovery for maximum hypertrophy?
In this Anabolic Q&A, Big Paul answers those questions and more from the Anabolic Bodybuilding community.

We start with whether lighter weights can still build muscle using high reps, controlled eccentrics, strong contractions, and proper technique. Paul explains mechanical tension, progressive overload, and why many lifters may get more growth out of less weight than they think.
We also cover training to failure, how close your working sets need to be, and how intensity, volume, frequency, and recovery should work together.
On the performance-enhancement side, Paul discusses HGH and diminishing returns, testosterone use around travel, testosterone versus testosterone plus Primobolan, estrogen management, SHBG, and anabolic use during a prolonged cutting phase.
Other questions cover training six or seven days per week, overtraining, abs before or after cardio, blood pressure and telmisartan, insulin safety, and elevated creatine kinase (CK) from hard training.
Paul also shares why chest and triceps are still his favorite muscles to train, why leg day is different, and his thoughts on Nick Walker, consistency, bodybuilding genetics, and conditioning.
If you’re serious about bodybuilding, muscle growth, hypertrophy training, PED education, recovery, contest prep, or getting more out of the gym, this Q&A covers a lot of ground.
