John Goblikon of Nekrogoblikon joins Chris and Josh for what might be one of the most unhinged episodes of Late For Load In yet.
John takes us through his rise from life insurance salesman to frontman of the world's premier goblin metal band, how "No One Survives" changed everything for Nekrogoblikon, sharing the stage with Dickie Allen, and what he's learned after nearly 20 years with the band.
We also dig into why metal connected with John in the first place, the importance of actually being present at shows, how the metal scene embraces the weird, and his thoughts on where heavy music is headed.
Outside of Nekrogoblikon, John has built an entirely different career as the host of the Right Now Podcast and a stand-up comedian. He talks about the terrifying reality of performing comedy, bombing in front of audiences, and why musicians, comedians and professional wrestlers might have a lot more in common than you'd think.
And because it's John Goblikon, we also somehow get into living with Satan, life insurance, Chili's, Claudio Sanchez, goblin magic, hacking Waymo, fighting robots, his hatred of trolls, and what "going Goblin Mode" really means.
Come be a goblin.
