When Nightmares Come is an investigative wargame of supernatural horror set in the modern era, where monsters are real.. You join The Nightwatch, an unofficial team of paranormal vigilantes hunting these unnatural creatures... Each game consists of a Narrative Scene using your character's Primal Attributes for investigation, followed by a Tactical Engagement where you use Action Dice to battle Dark Spawn on a miniature battlefield. Your objective in the tactical mission is to gather Clues from Points of Interest and shut down the supernatural Nexus before the six-turn limit expires. . This can be played as single missions or linked together in a Full Case campaign.
