At 19, Morgan Nelson was an apprentice carpenter on $7.50 an hour, working 14-hour days in 42-degree heat, and using drugs just to get through the week.
He hit rock bottom hard. Then he asked a mate one question: how are you so happy?
That simple question led him to walk into a room he thought was a cult, start a business that night, and fail for two and a half years.
By 23 he was financially free and living in Mexico.
In this episode, he shares what actually shifted in his head, and why your brain treats leaving your comfort zone like a threat to your life.
We also get into how to rewire fear the way a dog trainer fixes a "bad" dog, and the three, two, one bungee rule Morgan still uses on anything scary.
Morgan shares the monkey cage story that shows why people talk themselves out of their dreams, the Asch experiment that gets 97% of a room to doubt their own eyes, and why the fear you feel around a big goal is really adrenaline.
If you're an entrepreneur, a tradie, or anyone staring over the fence at a better life, this mindset episode is for you.
