The UPS driver viral video hit 47 million views, and this is the first time Kyle Thurkauf and I have sat down alone to tell the full story from start to finish.
Kyle is the UPS driver from the viral Ring camera video. In January 2026 he walked up to my door with ten boxes of books and asked one simple question. What the 47 million people who watched that clip never knew is what was happening inside my house that week. My wife and I had quit our jobs the previous August to build Call Me First. By December we were nearly out of money and I had already told her I was finished. She ordered 4,000 books anyway with the last of what we had. Kyle was the man who delivered them.
The video took off overnight and ended up on the Tamron Hall Show, News 12 New Jersey, People Magazine, and podcast after podcast. Millions of people watched a few seconds and made up their minds about it. The comment section turned ugly and stayed that way for weeks. Almost nobody knows what actually happened that day, what happened after, or what that viral UPS video did to both of our lives.
