Siw Ahlfort is Miljöpartiet’s candidate for regional councillor in Norrbotten. Her priorities include accessible healthcare, reliable public transport, strong communities, and protecting Norrbotten’s natural and cultural values.
In Episode 3, I speak with Siw about what a genuinely sustainable transition should mean for Norrbotten and Sweden.
We discuss the relationship between research and political decision-making, social fairness, energy security, democracy, healthcare, international expertise and the responsibilities that come with major industrial development in northern Sweden.
Above all, can Norrbotten become a leader in the green transition without being treated merely as a warehouse for raw materials and energy?
Thank you, Siw, for an open and thoughtful conversation.
Watts Up! welcomes perspectives from across politics, research and industry.
