Great putting is not built through complexity. It is built by mastering one repeatable movement until it becomes automatic. In the Puttalyze System, that foundation is the Core Putt.

Elite performers repeatedly return to fundamentals because consistency depends on a stable Movement Blueprint. The cerebellum constantly compares intended movement with actual performance and makes unconscious corrections. Repeating the same high-quality putting motion strengthens neural pathways and gradually turns technique into an automatic motor pattern.

The Core Putt removes unnecessary “noise” such as difficult green reads, changing slopes, and pressure. This allows the nervous system to focus on six essential elements:

Setup: Repeatable posture, eye alignment, and ball position.
Balance: Stay centered without unnecessary weight movement.
Rhythm: Control distance through movement size—not changing tempo.
Energy Transfer: Learn how stroke energy influences ball speed.
Target Speed: Train the ball to reach the hole at approximately 3 revolutions per second.
Finish: Maintain a relaxed, balanced, stable finish.

The Three-Ball Core Putt Drill treats three balls as one movement repeated three times. First, visualize the starting line and Target Speed. Then execute without consciously steering or correcting the stroke. Finally, evaluate the process: Did the ball achieve the intended speed? Did you maintain balance and rhythm?

Quality matters more than volume. Fifty focused repetitions are more valuable than 500 mindless putts. If you perform 20 excellent Core Putts, stop and reinforce success rather than fatigue.

The Core Putt is your daily neurological calibration. Confidence comes from trusting a movement strengthened through correct repetition.

Puttalyze Principle: Don’t practice until you get it right. Practice until you can no longer get it wrong.
