Iain recounts that, shortly before their daughter was taken, his wife told him her family was a cult and that she was returning their daughter because of "mind control." According to Iain, his efforts to seek help from local authorities, international agencies, and government officials were unsuccessful. His pursuit of answers ultimately led to his arrest in Poland, where he spent fifty months incarcerated before being released in 2015.
