Algebraic structures are mathematical systems held together by a combination of elements and operations that combine them. Their internal binary operations define their structures with each being related to one another. Together, they form a hierarchy and each level adds new properties to the previous structure. These structures form the framework for many areas of mathematics from geometry to calculus by allowing for the complex analysis of symmetry, solving of equations and much more.
