Theo Von Biography Flash a weekly Biography.
Theo Von’s most significant recent development is his public statement on the war in Gaza, made in a social media clip reported by TMZ on September 22. Addressing the controversy surrounding Macklemore, who was reportedly removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour after speaking about Gaza, Von said the situation felt like “probably the biggest atrocity that we’ve witnessed in our lifetime on our phones.” His remarks represent a notable expansion of Von’s public profile from comedian and podcaster into more direct commentary on an international political and humanitarian crisis. The statement is verified as a published TMZ report, although the broader political implications and audience reaction remain developing.
The same subject was also discussed on Von’s latest solo episode of This Past Weekend, released September 19, according to Apple Podcasts. The episode reportedly covered Von’s reaction to getting a bad haircut, a Midwestern road trip in a broken down camper, listener voicemails, a call with a young father seeking advice, and his thoughts on the Macklemore and Gaza controversy. The combination of personal storytelling and political commentary continues the format that has made the podcast central to Von’s biography and business identity.
Von also recently hosted Bishop Robert Barron on This Past Weekend. Word on Fire highlighted the appearance and described the ensuing comment section as unusually meaningful. The conversation adds another prominent religious and cultural figure to Von’s growing list of guests and reinforces his reputation for blending comedy with long form discussions about faith, morality, and public life.
Earlier in the week, Von released a second conversation with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, according to podcast listings and published transcripts. Their discussion reportedly covered tribalism, evolutionary psychology, space privatization, alien contact, and the physics of zero gravity. The episode premiered September 16 and extends Von’s ongoing role as an interviewer of major scientific and intellectual figures.
No reliably verified report located in the past few days confirms a new business venture, tour announcement, television booking, or major personal event. Social analytics service Chartmetric listed Von’s account and audience activity as refreshed on September 22, but it did not establish a specific new campaign or milestone.
