I've been thinking lately about how grateful I am to have learned about so many different healing modalities and treatment options that exist outside of mainstream medicine. Simply taking the time to learn about these approaches can literally save you months—or even years—of suffering. It can help you discover small steps that make a big difference in your health and, in some cases, even help keep you out of the hospital.

We've heard stories from people who suffered for years before finding a path to healing. Many of these options are things you'll likely never hear about during a typical visit with your medical doctor.

Looking back on my own health journey, I truly believe that discovering these different approaches has helped me stay healthy and prevent what could have become long-term chronic conditions. I'm incredibly grateful to have found information that has been both empowering and healing.

The reality is that many people live with chronic health conditions for years simply because they aren't aware of all the options available to them.

We've all heard stories of people who:

  • Suffered in pain for years, even though there were effective ways to address the root cause.

  • Were dismissed and told, "It's all in your head," only to leave with a prescription for Prozac.

  • Felt exhausted, sick, and miserable, only to hear, "Your labs look great! There's nothing wrong with you."

  • Were told they would need to take medication for the rest of their lives.

  • Were told their condition was incurable.

This week, I'll discuss an overview of the treatment options and healing approaches we've explored over the past few years on Deprescribing.

I'd like to revisit some of these conditions, explore alternative approaches that have helped others, and reflect on the stories shared by the incredible guests we've had on the show. Their experiences remind us that healing isn't always a straight line and that there is often more than one path forward. We'll also compare how common health conditions are treated in Western medicine versus other approaches to healing.

Let's have an open discussion. I'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and experiences. The more we share what we've learned, the more we empower one another to make informed decisions about our health.
