For most of my life, I never thought about emotions. Words like frustration, guilt, or sadness were unfamiliar to me—no one talked about them, so I never learned to recognize them in myself.
Then I became a mother. And suddenly, I felt irritated, exhausted, and lost in a role I wasn’t sure I fit into. My husband didn’t listen the way I wanted him to, my son constantly needed me, and I felt trapped in a world that didn’t feel like mine.
At first, I thought it was just stress. But deep inside, something bigger was happening. I was reacting to everything around me, yet I didn’t know why. I kept asking myself:
Why am I so frustrated all the time?
Why do I feel like I’m failing at motherhood?
Why can’t I enjoy my life like I used to?
Then, one day, I saw an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) course ad near my house. As a therapist, I thought it would be a good opportunity to expand my skills. But in reality, I was also looking for something—anything—to make me feel like myself again.
That decision changed everything.
