In Season 1, Episode 14: My Johnny Lies Over the Ocean, Jessica Fletcher dresses to impress for a cruise and also solves the murder of a successful doctor/businesswoman. JB joins her niece, Pamela, who has just been released from a sanatorium (sanitarium?) after the death of her husband by suicide and like all women who have undergone a major life event, all she needs is a girls trip with her aunt. Luckily, her aunt is an expert sleuth, so when someone tries to destabilize Pamela's mental health on board the boat, JB is there to protect Pamela and find out who the murderer is. We are also joined by guest stars Leslie Nielson, Jo Anne Worley, and Vicki Lawrence.
