A year after Donald Trump pulled the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan into the White House, the peace is holding and wheat is crossing borders sealed for decades, yet the treaty itself remains unsigned. Matthew Bryza, the former US ambassador to Azerbaijan who spent years mediating the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, calls the outcome "a gigantic strategic setback for Russia" and describes the corridor at its center as "promising, nascent, not yet in existence."
