In this talk Kathryn kuhlman distinguishes between "mercies" and "blessings". The point is not the definition of the words but that we get idea of "spiritual blessings in heavenly places".

Ephesians 1:3 reads "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,"
