Andrew (Andy) Yim was born and raised in River Edge, New Jersey, and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Design and Management. He commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer and served in the 2nd Infantry Division, 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). He deployed four times over an eight-year Army career, three times to Iraq and once to Cyprus.
After his military service, Andy matriculated to The Wharton School for his MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, expected 2027. During the first year of his MBA program, Andy started Lumora Animal Health after identifying a pain point with animal records that he noticed with his own cats.
Looking ahead: Lumora Animal Health continues expanding beyond individual pet owners with PawChart Link for groomers and boarders and the PawPrint Program for shelters and rescues, while Andy finishes his MBA at Wharton.
