In Episode 4 of Rooted to Earth, we’re joined by John Gilliland, a sixth-generation farmer and advocate for sustainable agriculture with a legacy in policy, academia, and innovation. Recently appointed to the EU’s Soil Mission Board and serving as an advisor to the UK Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, John brings a broad perspective to his mission of creating resilient, regenerative landscapes. As a leader of the ARC Zero project, his own farm is a model for "Beyond" Net Zero practices, where willow cultivation, livestock grazing, and renewable energy initiatives work together in a circular system.
