The Bird of Paradise needs cogitators to escape the Gilead system. The only supplier is a Forge World Fabricator General who communicates through exploding servitors and demands the crew retrieve a stolen stasis coffin -- contents unknown, questions forbidden. Aloysius has an orc head wired into the ship's comms. The crew descends into the underhive to find answers, and instead finds a chop-shop, a gang with red bionic arms, and an economy built entirely on backstabbing.
