At 21, Andrew Holder opened his first Revo Fitness in a 200-square-metre space in Western Australia.

Today, Revo has grown into one of Australia’s largest privately owned fitness operators, with more than 70 locations nationwide, millions of visits each month and plans to reach 100 gyms by 2027.

This week, Andrew joins Trent to unpack what it actually took to build it.

From starting with around 20 members and no real expectation of what Revo could become, Andrew shares why listening to customers became one of his greatest business strategies, why he spent years building culture before aggressively scaling and how choosing purpose over short-term profit helped Revo navigate some of its hardest moments.

Andrew also reflects on his former career as a professional cricketer for Western Australia and the surprising lesson that connects his success in sport and business: learning to let go of the outcome.

They talk ambition, leadership, culture, intuition, sacrifice, family, self-doubt and the pressure that comes with building something big.

And underneath it all is a question relevant far beyond business:

Can you have enormous ambition without becoming consumed by the outcome?

This is Andrew Holder, Shaped.
