You can be needed, thanked, depended on, even admired, and still not feel loved. This prayer is for the quiet suspicion, carried for years, that love is something other people are handed and you just happen to be standing nearby when it happens.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)
This prayer covers: growing up without affection, never hearing "I love you," feeling like a burden, rejection in romance, believing something is wrong with you, the armor of independence, loving without being loved back, and learning to receive love.
Leave the word "loved" in the comments below if this named something in you, or share this prayer with someone who has never been told they matter.
