In this episode of Facilitating Change, Mentor Dida sits down with Romy Alexandra to explore what it really takes to make learning meaningful, human, and transformational.

Romy shares how her time in the Peace Corps in Moldova changed her relationship with learning and helped her see that people do not remember information alone. They remember what strikes them, how they felt, what they practiced, and how the experience connected to their real life.

With Romy, we unpack experiential learning, participant-centered design, psychological safety, autonomy, vulnerability, and the shift from simply delivering content to creating spaces where people can reflect, contribute, and change.

We also talk about why saying “this is a safe space” is not enough, how facilitators can invite honest participation without pushing people too far, and why learning needs to move beyond the session itself if we want real behavior change.

This conversation is for facilitators, educators, leaders, coaches, and anyone who brings people together to learn, grow, and create change.
