Miranda Hirezi-Mugnier, the author of “Scattered Yet Whole” memoir, has been named a Finalist in the 2025 Foreword Indies’ Book of the Year Award. Miranda is an Arab-American Christian born in Bethlehem, whose life has unfolded across cultures, continents, and moments of history. Shaped by faith, resilience, and a lifelong search for belonging, her experiences include enduring the first month of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, a period that deepened her understanding of loss, endurance, and the quiet strength required to survive upheaval. All of which became the inspiration for Rick's Musical Medley of the Jazz Classic "Two Different Worlds" in tribute to the late Sonny Rollins and his own "Jazz for Peace" Free Jazz Poem.
