Unlike fashion, where conversations around ethical production and environmental impact have been heating up for a decade, beauty brands have stayed largely out of the spotlight - we’ve become obsessed with ‘stripping back’ on our ingredients, mixing wellness and health with our makeup and skincare, but we're still not questioning what the brands behind these products are doing or where they’re getting these ingredients from or whether they actually stand by the image that “clean” conjures to consumers 🥴
