As I stepped off the plane in Rome, Italy, I couldn't contain my excitement. I had always dreamed of visiting this historic city, and now here I was. The first thing that struck me as I left the airport was the warm Mediterranean sun, bathing everything in a golden light. It was the perfect start to my Roman adventure.
