The world constantly tries to give us labels. Our past tries to define us. Other people’s opinions can shape how we see ourselves. Even the enemy will try to make us question what God has already declared over our lives.
We see this clearly with Jesus. At His baptism, the Father declared, “This is my Son, whom I love…” (Matthew 3:17). Then, almost immediately, Satan challenged that identity: “If you are the Son of God…” (Matthew 4:3).
The enemy still uses the same tactic today.
2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Stop introducing yourself by what Jesus died to free you from.
You are not your worst day.
You are not your failure.
You are not your rejection.
You are not what someone said about you.
You are not your past.
If you are in Christ, you are a NEW CREATION.
Open the Word. Find out what God says about you. And start walking in the identity He has given you.
