Mariah Carey Biography Flash a weekly Biography.
Mariah Carey’s biggest verified development this week is the expansion of her 2026 Christmastime Tour into the United Kingdom and Malta. According to The Independent, Carey announced on Instagram that she will perform in Birmingham on November 27, London on November 30, Manchester on December 2, and Malta on December 8. Tickets went on general sale Friday, September 25, making the announcement both a major business move and another chapter in her carefully established identity as the Queen of Christmas.
Several international outlets, including Sky TG24 and Milenio, reported that the dates mark Carey’s return to European holiday stages after years away from this particular format. The concerts add to previously announced Brazilian performances and suggest that seasonal touring remains a major part of her live business strategy. Her Instagram post is the clearest verified social media activity in the available reporting, with Carey telling fans she could not wait to celebrate with them.
There is also a fresh chart development with direct historical significance. Billboard reports that Ella Langley’s song Choosin Texas has reached 23 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You, which had accumulated 22 weeks at the top between 2019 and 2026. Carey’s holiday classic is no longer the longest running number one in Hot 100 history, but it remains one of the defining seasonal recordings in modern popular music, and the comparison reinforces its extraordinary annual chart power.
A less firmly established report concerns new music. Ground News is circulating a story based on 106.7 WTLC saying Carey casually teased songs for 2027 during an encounter with content creator Jack Banana in Beverly Hills. That claim has not been confirmed by a major music publication or by Carey’s official channels, so it should be treated as unconfirmed rather than an announcement.
Fan sites are also discussing a possible Glitter twenty fifth anniversary deluxe release, remastered videos, and unreleased material, but those reports are not yet supported by an official statement from Carey or her representatives.
