With The Beatles. That Difficult Second Album?

Exactly 8 months to the day after their debut album 'Please Please Me' was released in the UK. The Beatles second album 'With The Beatles' landed in record stores nationwide.

Not only a significant day in the groups history, but an unforgettable day news wise. As it was 22 November 1963 that American president JFK was assimilated. An event which as we discuss in this weeks episode, could have been the reason why Capitol records finally took up distribution rights to the band.

With its arty black and white cover image and a strong Motown influence. Does 'With The Beatles' suffer from 'Difficult Second Album' which most artists succumb to? To find out you will have to listen!
