Mark Russell is one of our great living satirists and one of the smartest comic writers working today. A decade ago, after his very first comic was canceled abruptly, he was offered to write a reimagined Flintstones. Ten years later the stories and themes of his and Steve Pugh's Flintstones are more relevant that ever. We sat down with Mark to discuss the history of the pitch and the craft that went into making one of the best comics of the decade.
The Flintstones (2016) is by Mark Russell, Steve Pugh, and Chris Chuckry
Make sure to check out Mark's book Dog Tag over at Mad Cave Studios and The Forgotten Divine over at Ahoy (which just had an incredibly successful kickstarter!)
