Mike Ben Avi, a former correctional officer and longtime martial arts instructor, describes losing control of his vehicle after an exhausting period working night shifts at a maximum-security prison. Rather than collide with a car carrying a mother and two children, Mike says he deliberately turned toward a concrete structure. His vehicle rolled repeatedly and was crushed around him.
Mike says what followed transformed his understanding of life. He describes entering a state without sound, pain, smell, or even ordinary thought—and seeing a mysterious older woman dressed in clothing that appeared to come from centuries earlier. When normal sensory experience suddenly returned, emergency responders arrived, but Mike says authorities later told him no woman had been at the scene. Even more astonishingly, he says doctors examined him after the devastating wreck and found no broken bones, bruises, or significant injuries.
