Pink Puffin Bicycles is the main bike shop I go to in San Francisco. It's run by Phillip Shain who has quickly become a friend and someone I see several times per week. He is obsessed with bikes and how they go together, and loves nice bearings. In this episode we talk about what it's like to run a bike shop in SF, what niche Pink Puffin fills, and we nerd out about bearings and wheels. Phillip is a passionate bike mechanic with experience working in all kinds of bike shops.

It's been a while since I recorded a podcast episode. It's also been a while since we recorded this one. It's from late May of this year, and I finally found the time to edit it. There are a few technical difficulties, like the audio cut out a few minutes into recording and I think we lost maybe a minute or two of audio, not a huge deal. Also, we recorded this inside Pink Puffin bicycles on a closed day, but people still showed up wanting help with their bike, so there are a few interruptions, but it works with the conversation about customer service and helping all types of people.

Thanks for listening. —Adam
