SpaceX is shifting its revenue mix as Starlink’s subscriptions expand and the company increases spending on compute and network software. Launch services delivered a record ninety six missions in 2023, but remain transactional and tied to manifest timing. The Wall Street Journal reported Starlink generated about $1.4 billion in revenue in 2022, up from $222 million in 2021, highlighting the rise of annual recurring revenue. Enterprise and government demand includes a 2022 Direct to Cell partnership with T-Mobile US and Pentagon arranged Starlink services for Ukraine in 2023. Capital intensity remains high as SpaceX develops Starship and deploys Starlink V2 Mini satellites, with Elon Musk citing a total constellation investment range of $20 billion to $30 billion over time. Private tender reports in 2023 and 2024 valued SpaceX between $175 billion and $210 billion, focusing attention on margins, cash conversion, and unit economics across the network.
