It wasn't so much ‘honest guv’ as 'honest gov' when Andy Burnham spoke at The Labour Party conference in Liverpool. The PM pledged to  say the things politicians usually avoid - namely deindustrialisation, deregulation, privatisation, austerity and Brexit were all 'named and shamed'. The headlines were the scrapping of the existing triple lock system for pensions, with the savings used to fund a National Care System, and electoral reform.

Adrian Goldberg discusses the speech with Byline Times Political editor Adam Bienkov and Chief Reporter Josiah Mortimer.
