Brian and Judson prepare for this week’s premiere of “The Traitors: New Blood” on NBC and Peacock featuring Dads and Daddies friend and former guest (Season 2, Episode 31), the brilliant immigration attorney and anti-ICE activist Michael Foote as a contestant. Judson returns from a destination wedding in Portugal with gay beach and bathhouse recommendations. Brian succeeds in making his first “hotwifing” experience happen, where he brought together his husband and a previous hookup and watched them hookup together. The Hookup of the Week finds a trans woman taking a leap of faith that results in a magical night. Brian and Judson are then joined by actor Barrett Foa, known for his 12 seasons on “NCIS: Los Angeles” and for his current stint on Broadway playing Mary’s Teacher opposite Bowen Yang in Oh, Mary! Barrett talks about how he has found himself on Broadway after an almost 20-year absence, what it was like to work opposite Meg Stalter and what a happy return it has been after a dozen years working on a crime procedural TV show teeming with alpha male energy. He shares the dilemma he faced as a gay actor on a hit show at the time that celebrities began to come out of the closet in force, and how he found the freedom to live fully out and proud through his discovery of Burning Man. He shares his NCIS co-star Chris O’Donnell’s reaction to learning how important he was to some gay men’s sexual awakenings; he recounts how Burning Man brought him together with his partner of three years who is deaf; and he delves deep into his Daddy Issue with a father who is incapable of giving compliments.Barrett also tells Brian and Judson about his friendship with Kylie Minogue, the incredible work of Every Day Action, the nonprofit of which he’s a founding member and board VP, and he helps respond to a Go Ask Your Dad question from a listener whose fiance has just passed away and its looking for guidance on grieving.
