Holding firmly to the way of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, taking them as an example, and abandoning religious innovations—for indeed, every innovation is misguidance. Many of us (Muslims) believe this principle is restrictive, but it's not. It's actual freedom, brings about unity, and ensures that our deeds are accepted by Allah.
