Episode 64 of the conversations between Dr. Yogita Pant and Dr. Anil Chawla starts with the discussions between Dhrutraashtr and his son, Duryodhan about gambling. Duryodhan is able to pressurize his father into agreeing to invite the Paandav brothers for gambling. Dhrutraashtr orders his minister Vidur to go to Indraprasth for inviting Yuddhishthir and brothers. Vidur protests but finally agrees to go. Yuddhishthir is surprised to receive the invitation because he sees the evil in gambling. He is not inclined to play but he is bound by his commitment to never refuse an invitation whether for war or gambling. Paandav brothers depart for Hastinapur. On the way, Vidur briefs Yuddhishthir about the dirty game planned by Shakuni and Duryodhan. (Mahabharat/Sabhaaparv/ Duyat Parv/Chapters 55-58).

Mahabharat and Valmiki Ramayan are the two fundamental foundation epics of Hinduism. Mahabharat teaches one about every aspect of life. The struggle in the epic is the clash between two different life-values. Dwaipaayan Krishn and Vaasudev Krishn put in relentless and continuous efforts to establish and strengthen the same fundamental values and ideals for which Ram fought the war against Raavan. By learning and understanding this story and by adopting the learnings into our behaviour we can make our life happy and rich.
