Tyla Biography Flash a weekly Biography.
Tyla’s biggest recent development is the expansion of her first full headline tour. According to Glamour South Africa, overwhelming demand has added a second Pretoria date, with performances now scheduled for January 8 and 9, 2027, at SunBet Arena. The National reports that the Johannesburg show was moved to Pretoria, making the South African homecoming a two night event and an important marker of Tyla’s growing commercial strength in her home country.
The shows are part of the 34 date A Pop World Tour, which is due to begin in Paris on October 12, according to Glamour South Africa. Announced stops include London, Manchester, Berlin, North American cities, and further African dates. The tour is potentially one of the most significant chapters in Tyla’s biography because it represents her transition from breakout hitmaker to an international live headliner.
In the most visible recent public appearance, Tyla attended the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 27 as a presenter. IOL and The National describe her turquoise and grey snakeskin two piece by Nigerian designer Mowalola as one of the evening’s attention grabbing looks. Online discussion focused heavily on her body and styling, prompting backlash from fans and public support from SZA, who liked a post defending Tyla and added her own comment. That support is verified by The National, while wider claims about Tyla’s personal reaction remain unconfirmed.
Her business activity currently appears concentrated on touring, ticket demand, and fashion visibility rather than a newly announced product or corporate venture. A planned October 18 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is being promoted by Hola as featuring Tyla, but the report’s wording is inconsistent, so that appearance should be treated as unconfirmed until officially announced by Victoria’s Secret or Tyla’s representatives.
No reliable source reviewed for this update confirms a major new single, album announcement, relationship development, or social media controversy in the past 24 hours. Unverified posts should not be treated as biography changing news.
