In this episode, I'm joined by casting director Nicole Ricciardi from Ricciardi Casting for a long and practical conversation about how casting really works and what every actor should know.
We talk about what happens behind the scenes after an audition, how casting decisions are made, who really has the final say, why actors hear nothing after auditions, whether social media affects castability, the impact of AI on casting, and the biggest mistakes actors make without realising it.
In the second half of the episode, Nicole reviews my own Spotlight profile live, explaining what works, what doesn't, and how casting directors actually look at headshots, showreels, skills, playing age and credits.
