She takes us through a barefoot, sun-and-sweat childhood in small-town Kentucky.
A move to Kansas City at fifteen.
A year in India at eighteen that she'll tell you, emphatically, was not a "missionary trip" — she went to live with people, not save them.
A community college scholarship, her face on a city bus, and the kind of confidence that only shows up after you've been tested a few times.
📖 One chapter of her story is a relationship in India that nearly cost her everything, and a decision — with someone else's help — to choose herself instead. It's one of the harder parts of this episode. It's also just one part of a much bigger one.
From there: grad school, a marriage, a career that went from an entry-level nonprofit job to VP of HR at a fast-growing company, and a divorce that came out of nowhere — one she handled entirely on her own terms.
