Well before founding Utah Advocacy Coalition, Alyssa was unknowingly building her community by connecting people together that would be mutually beneficial. She’ll tell you being mom & grandma is her most important job, while helping improve access for assistance to families with people requiring additional support comes next. After struggling to figure out two of her kids had dyslexia, she began down the path to start UAC where she helps fight to get kids better help combatting the issue. We talk community, relationships, and how to laugh through the hard stuff among other topics.
