WaiFung Tsang, clinical psychologist and ayahuasca researcher, went to the Amazon looking for better trauma treatment and came back believing in God. We explore ayahuasca for PTSD and traumatic brain injury in veterans, epigenetics and ancestral trauma, Shipibo plant spirits and icaros, whether ayahuasca entities are real, and the dark side of shamanism. Plus: are we the antenna or the signal? A scientist's honest take on consciousness.
Formerly at the Maudsley Hospital in London, he researches ceremonial ayahuasca for PTSD, traumatic brain injury and epigenetic change, including work with veterans' charity Heroic Hearts Project. He apprentices in Shipibo curanderismo and plays in the band United Freedom Collective.
