Midsommar and it's director, Ari Aster have become a divisive lightning rod for arguments in the horror comunity. So, in this episode, we'll ask tough questions like"Is this a 'good for her' movie?" and "is it acceptable to diagnose mental conditions for fictional characters, or people you don't know?" and "Is college for everyone" and "is it wrong to break up with someone during a tragedy, holiday, or other inconvenient times?" We'll talk about character writing and creating multiple ways to look at someone, pissing on the ancestral trees and other inapropriate places, hallucinagens, "elevated horror," psychology students, paganism and religion, and folk horror being compared to Wicker Man. Love it or hate it, this movie brings a lot of interesting discussion points to the table!
