“AI is just a tool.” We hear this sentence almost every day. And at first, it makes sense. A hammer can build a house or hurt someone. The internet can help you learn something, or help someone scam you.
But AI is a strange new kind of tool.
In this episode, I look at what a tool actually is, whether technology is ever completely neutral, and what changes when our tools begin to answer back, interpret what we mean, suggest alternatives, surprise us, and even influence the direction of an idea.
