When the tragedy of 9/11 occured, airline crews were displaced all over the world. In the USA, anyone who was travelling on a standby or companion ticket was told they wouldn't be flying home any time soon! The aviation industry came to a standstill.
When a Captain finds out his mother and sister are stuck in Vegas and he can't get them home on the jumpseat of his aircraft, he finds the only way he can to get them back to the UK. But it involves a very long ride on the Greyhound across the United States.
