Mary talks all things Carnation, or as we know them at the plant nursery - Dianthus caryophyllus. This plant has really evolved over the years to include a multitude of colors as well as being a pretty rugged little garden plant. Did you know that it can have a very dramatic difference in size depending on variety? We also talk about one of our favorite backyard birds - the Northern Cardinal, known for their beautiful colors and song and Mary talks about some other unique features of this backyard favorite.
