Before we dive into reading through the enire book of Revelation in 4 days, this episode takes a step back to look at the big picture. We’ll explore when and why Revelation was written, who wrote it, the world of the first audience, and the key themes that run through the book. You’ll also learn how reading Revelation through the lens of the Old Testament and the Greco-Roman world helps us hear it as the first Christians did. This overview sets the foundation for our study and reminds us that Revelation was given to encourage faith, call for endurance, and fill God’s people with hope.
