88. Bridging Cultures: An Evangelical Perspective from Argentina

What if the crises you’ve endured are exactly what God is using to shape a church that stands together and shines? 

In this episode of God on the Move Priscila Szuka shares her perspective as a 28-year-old evangelical leader from Bariloche, Argentina, reflecting on national resilience amid recurring economic hardship, the growth of evangelicals alongside a largely nominal Catholic culture, and the challenge of syncretism in parts of Latin America. She describes encouraging progress as younger believers move past historic divisions between denominations and increasingly collaborate as the body of Christ, while noting ongoing doctrinal barriers with Catholics. Priscila also opens up about serving across church ministries, her passion to pursue acting as a profession while being “light” in the arts, and her gratitude and anticipation after being selected for the Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering 2027 and the YLGen journey, asking for prayer to deepen dependence on God in difficult seasons.

🧑‍💻 About Priscila

Priscila Szuka is from the south of Argentina, from a beautiful city called Bariloche. She was born and raised there, and has had the blessing of attending the same church since she was born, too, now serving there as well in different ministries, like Sunday school with her beautiful 5 to 7 years-old children, worship team, social media, and the arts ministry. Priscila holds a degree in hotel management and tourism, which goes well with her love of discovering new countries and cultures, travelling, serving people, and learning new languages. She is passionate about the arts (especially acting, singing, and dancing) and sharing the gospel in those contexts and through those types of arts. She is also a fan of history and  can't stop being amazed when seeing how God has been working throughout history, and that we get to be part of his plan for this time and place.
