What if the part of yourself you once considered a weakness was actually waiting to become your greatest strength?

Before meeting today’s guest, Jason opens up about the enormous changes taking place in his own life: leaving behind the business he built over a decade, stepping into uncertainty and learning to trust the pull towards a more meaningful and spiritually aligned future.

He is then joined by 24-year-old Dutch medium Lucas Ilcken, whose relationship with sensitivity began during childhood. Lucas experienced an awareness of spirit from a young age, but as he grew older, being deeply sensitive became something he tried to escape.

Everything began to change after a remarkable encounter with a stranger on the streets of Amsterdam. That meeting eventually led Lucas to meditation, a deeper understanding of himself and his first visit to the Arthur Findlay College.

During that first week, Lucas began to recognise that his sensitivity was not something he needed to overcome. It was something he needed to understand.

Jason and Lucas explore what it means to live as a sensitive person in a world that often rewards toughness, why the right environment can completely change how we experience ourselves and how the qualities we suppress may contain some of our greatest potential.

Lucas also shares the huge leap of faith he took when he sold the successful family business he had helped run for years. In choosing mediumship, he was not simply changing careers; he was releasing an identity, a family legacy and the security of a life he already knew.

Together, they discuss:

• Why sensitivity can feel like a weakness before we understand it
• Lucas’s childhood experiences of spirit and intuition
• The stranger who changed the direction of his life
• His first extraordinary experiences at the Arthur Findlay College
• Why mediums should remain humble about what they believe
• Trusting spirit while learning to trust yourself
• The confidence knocks that accompany spiritual development
• Choosing a full heart over full pockets
• Whether mediumship can truly prove life after death
• Nervousness, excitement and working on the platform
• Why mastering yourself matters more than mastering mediumship

This is a conversation about mediumship, but it is also about identity, courage and becoming comfortable with the person you were always meant to be.

Perhaps your sensitivity was never the problem.

Perhaps you were simply never shown how to work with it.
